Our History and Mission
"Mrs. Lana", as she is now affectionately known by, started a small Bible Study for local high school students in their living room in tiny Bells, Texas in 2017. It rapidly grew to over 70 students and now averages over 125 students a week. As the number of students they were serving grew, so did their vision of what Home Run Ranch could be. Now, Home Run Ranch is a flourishing youth ministry serving hundreds of high school students from more than 20 different high schools.
In addition to Bible Study, they offer Wiffle Ball on a lighted, turf field that is a replica of Fenway Park in Boston. They also have basketball and pickle ball on a lighted court, ping pong, billiards, fishing and multiple patios that include picnic tables and a fire pit. The new building(The Dugout) has a kitchen with concession stand, two restrooms and a large meeting room that is available for party or corporate rentals with all money going to better serve the students. The room can seat 100 plus people.
The mission is to provide a safe place for students to grow their faith, build friendships, and have fun.
Lana and Stephen Newton
Lana is a former public school teacher and Stephen is a financial advisor that helps families with personal financial game-plans and specializes in retirement plans for companies. The Newtons have a son, Eli aka Newty (17), 3 cats, 3 dogs, 2 goats and 2 turtles. They are huge baseball fans, with the Braves, Astros and Red Sox being their favorite teams.
How can we serve you, your family or organization?
High School Bible Study
We meet nearly every Sunday night at 7pm. It is open to all high school students regardless of what school they attend. We have students from many different high schools, including public, private and home school. Incoming freshmen can start attending on the Sunday night after their 8th grade school year ends.
Need a fun facility for your next event?
As the ministry has grown, so have the costs to fund it. To help offset the growing expenses, we do allow outside groups to use the Wiffle Ball field and building for all types of events. Please email for donation chart and availability.
